My philosophy of practice is to give parents a safe alternative to a hospital birth. I realize the beauty of natural birth is having the freedom to choose labor positions, the ability to progress in labor without drugs, freedom in choosing your birth attendants, family participation and a calm "at Home" atmosphere for your family to welcome the new baby in. You and your baby will be monitored to insure a safe delivery but free from unnecessary routine medical interventions.

I believe a woman is not sick or ill when she is pregnant, so therefore a hospital setting is not always necessary. A properly equipped and staffed homebirth, or birth center setting can offer a statistically proven safer birth experience.

I believe birth should be personal, private and special. I take special pride in "my" babies. It is a personal experience for me as well. I try to get to know my clients on a personal basis. You're not a number or a dollar sign to me. You are a person, a mother in need of special care during this most emotional time of your life.

I will endeavor to meet all your needs, physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
